What can we expect of Eminem? Well we thought that ‘High And Mighty’ would be the smashing underground and Eminem the spoiled big star. Lyrics about drugs, sex and drugs. His American colleagues who do the same are 9 times out of 10, too wasted to give a decent performance. Capadonna was nothing, Rakim was less and Genius holds the record of the Dutch wackest concert all times. But he really surprised us. High and Mighty was only present as Mr. Eon who was out of breath within 30 seconds. And Eminem? He gave a very tight show, very professional. Including supersize mushrooms and a big ass muppet imagining his cartoon figure from the album booklet. And not to forget a big ass Donky Kong as bodyguard. Always being within two meter distance, looking as mad as he can be. Not noticing he was even a bigger joke than the giant phone used in the show.

Eminem: "What you have here, Amsterdam, we don’t have. Here you can buy a joint in the shop and get a light from a cop. Being here as American is as being a kid in… So, please don’t mind if we are behaving like kids."

His back-up MC was a friend he knows from when he was 12 years old. Now he signed him to his new label. It’s all in the name, Eminem pointed out that his friend name is Proof. So to proof he’s worth the name he had to prove his skills in a freestyle, which very quick turned out to be a routine.

When we entered the venue their were a lot of big signs saying "No photo’s. Under penalty of being excluded of the show." Why? We don’t know. Because Eminem showed his naked ass? Well we saw the same recording mics as used when the late Big-L performed which was featured on the last 12" by him.

When it was time for Eminem all the professional photoreporters were removed from stage. Only one prof-photoreporter-for-rent (guess from the States, we did not recognize him) was allowed to make pictures. But you know ART12, don’t you. Here some pictures.
